This page relates to birds in the area in and around the two lakes, known as Thrupp Lake and Bullfield Lake (or, to Didcot Power station operators, as lakes 'E' and 'F') at grid reference SU 518 975. Birds whose presence was noted in the past 3.5 years are indicated in bold.

These lakes and their surroundings are currently threatened with desrtruction by Didcot ash disposal operations. Full story.

Birds recorded at 'Spinage's Field' ( Lake E) and 'Bullfield Lake ' ( Lake F ) up to 1998 (Oxon BRC data) and up to 1999 by Oxford Ornithological Society (OOS). Additions and general comments, up to April 2006 by Bob Eeles and various others. (2005/6 records, and some earlier, are indicated.) Certain of the rarer species listed are recorded from the Radley Lakes 'area' only.

There are 201 bird species listed above, of which 132 have been observed to be present since 2003.
